Frustrating marketing of otherwise useful book

Be careful not to order this book in any kind of hurry. If doing so, you're likely to be caught out thinking that the CD-ROM would contain the audio tracks. You would think that any student's book with listening tasks integral to each unit would include the audio CD, and you'd be wrong. The audio CDs are in a separate package, adding significantly to the price. The way this is marketed seems to be about getting teachers and students to pay the maximum amount for separate products that should be packaged together. Of course, scroll down the Amazon page here, or the CUP page and you can see what's needed, and fork out accordingly. The two stars is chiefly about the marketing here.As to the book itself, it seems well-laid out, with plentiful exam tips, neatly arranged. Tasks are challenging and suitably intense. The reading tasks in particular definitely require a focused class. The length of units, probably around 3 hours class time, are probably designed with language school timetabling in mind. Basically, I like it and think it's useful, but think CUP parsimonious in not including the audio tracks on the CD ROM.
